Re: look again~~there is confusion
What you say rings true. However, since
my daughter also made a similar argument,
I told her a little poison is still poison.
Supposedly, Truvia is derived "wholly of
the Stevia Plant", so does not require a
patent.
"In December, 2008, the FDA gave a "no
objection" approval for GRAS status to
Cargill for their Truvia product and PureVia
(a product developed between PepsiCo and Whole
Earth Sweetener Company), both of which are
wholly-derived from the Stevia plant."

There is a need to raise awareness in general
since, for example, the government would
like to have ONLY diet sodas in vending
machines at the public high school level.
From what I have read, it says that young
men are especially susceptible to DNA damage
to sperm from the use of
Aspartame products.
It may actually be like swimming against the
tide but for each one who "gets it" there is
hope that the awareness will grow and spread
to the next level.
Our children deserve whatever we can do and
much more. If you stood back further, it could
be we are looking at a small part of a larger
picture of Eugenics in action.
Thanks for sharing your insight~~
best wishes,
Zoe
