Re: pre-menopausal symptoms?

Thanks for your delightfully funny ("oh, hell, yes" and "pain in the butt" comments - I use this terminology), kind and straightforward response.

Unfortunately my Mom and sister had hysterectomies in their early 40s, so I don't have anyone to compare to other than my 96 year-young grandma who tells me her periods ended at at 51 years without incident other than a few hot flashes.

These symptoms came on suddenly and its odd that they occur after my cycle ends and have been lasting 9-14 days the past two cycles and this is currently the 8th day after this cycle. Was hoping that someone in one of the forums could relate, so that I can take info with me to the gynecologist.

I posted on power surge website and a poster responded that by my taking progesterone cream that it can cause the slowing of peristalsis which can lead to constipation. She says that the progesterone stores in adipose tissue (yeah, I got a little more of that than I'd like!) and that perhaps too much in my system at the end of the cycle.
