Re: The Librarian, De-Confused

Hi Alan,
Like I said in one of my posts, I am Christian, and fairly conservative one at that. So, I believe the bible the way it was written. Thst'd ehy my 2 different posts didn't deny what God said. I used references who understand the character of God and I read their reason they think God would do this. I was satisfied if still a bit disturbed. Maybe i would like for God to have handled those things differently. But, He is God and not under our reign, we are under His.

I never have fully understood Rudy's Librarian, but I do know that everyone that posts seems to agree in the (ideas not people) New Testament where Jesus (God condescending to be one of us) came and taught all about love. Orb of Light is not a Christian. The Bible says that we should meet people where they are at and go from there. Orb of Light isn't a Christian. But, He believes that God is Love and seems to believe in a similar way to us about the goodness of God (Jesus said only God is good).

I did tell him it was interesting, because it is, but it is not my belief. I also said it might help Rudy explain what he meant. But I was wrong because Rudy responded to Orb and it didn't sound like that is it. But Rudy's NDE Part 1-5 are exactly in line with other Christian NDE's. I think Rudy is Christian. I think something happened right after his NDE, a poster started talking to him and I think it was so close to his dream that he got what she said mixed up in his dream. So, I fully believe Parts 1 theu 5. I don't understand the Librarian and it isn't even in his account of his NDE originally.

I know you are a Christian. You said of the old testament that some crazy old man in a cave wrote it!! People may have penned it in caves but it was inspired and kept the way God wanted it. There are some errors in languae interpretation but none other than that. You said you would not mention Jesus, or Karma or reincarnation because that wasn't your point-to change anybody's religion. Jesus said, If you are ashamed of me then I will be ashamed of you. People really don't want to hear about Jesus in these times. They seem to prefer a God of their own making that lets them do whatever they want and still be welcomed into Heaven in the same way that Mother Theresa would be.If you are a Christian you should want to mention the name of Jesus--a lot! It is the great commission and all Christians are called to it. So, I didn't agree with Orb's scenario, but he does believe in the real God in Heaven I think.

Explain the parts I brought up with what you said if you don't mind. I wasn't going to bring them up, but since you are keeping me honest, I guess I will keep you honest too (:
