Re: The Librarian, De-Confused
Indeed, Rudy.
I think I realized that there are essentially two Gods of this world after viewing the TV-movie remake of The Ten Commandments a few years ago.
At one point in this movie (which is far inferior to the 1952 original), God instructs Moses to divide his Chosen into two groups - and for them to do battle against the other.
I'm like, "Uh?" First of all, that scene wasn't in the original movie - and second of all, what God of Love would instruct one of his children to attack the other? Not God of Love.
And then upon further Biblical research, I came to understand God had instructed Moses to pour molten gold down the throats of women and young children.
Again - I was like, "Uh?!"
No God of Love would instruct or direct any such dreadful act.
And there are tons of such passages like that in the Bible.
