I'm a counselor at a school--and sometimes i come here to just vent. The kids I work with are subjected to all sorts of things. Most of which is not reportable, nor things that the county will do anything to intervene. Sadly, myself and the kids have learned to accept the limitations of the SYSTEM and we work on developing techniques to make life better. Whether it is through better communication skills, going to various clubs, groups, classes, etc., I work on finding these resources instead of the easy, and typical drug, gang, sex outlets that are so readily accessible.
