Re: Thank you SouthernBelle
Hi SouthernBelle - thank you for responding! O.K., well let's see. Yes, this started during a very bad time in our marriage, about 9 years ago. Things are a lot better now! (we just celebrated our 26th anniversary). But, nevertheless, it seems like I had started up with these symptoms then. They have gotten better sometimes, and then back to bad again. On an off, over the years. Like I said, I was told by the dr. that it was just stress, but then again, they say that about everything. My heart would race, then slow down, and pound really hard. Finally, it would go back to normal. This happened at any time, not just during a particularly stressful moment. I felt as if it would slow down to almost nothing, and i know for a fact, it would skip beats a lot, up to 3 sometimes! (I would feel this on my wrist). It is still hanging on, though not as bad. Like I said, it comes and goes. Now, if this were mitral valve prolapse, would it be like this? I don't get to much excercise, I have 3 children, but they are all in their older teenage years, so I don't run around after small children. I don't have a job, so basically, housework is the only exercise I get. I do notice though, that when I do the "harder" chores around the house, I do feel the skipping of the heartbeat, and sometimes it'll either pick up speed, or slow down a lot. Sound like anything you know of? This lady at the health food store said she has the exact same symptoms, and her dr. told her, it was MVP. She asked me if it got worse when I laid down, and I said yes, and she said that sounds like MVP. What do you think? If you get a chance, please get back to me on this. Do you have MVP? what symptoms do you experience? Listen, thanks again!!!!!!! Sincerely, Laura
