Re: Talking to Strangers on the Phone

25398---Are you also Herb Gal? Once in college (before call ID) some guy called my dorm room, told me his name and said he just wanted to talk. I cut off the conversation right then and there. You're young (if you are indeed Herb Gal) maybe still a bit naive but I wouldn't have talked a few hours with a total stranger no matter how slow it was at work! You're right---you don't know who he is or what his true intentions are! You have a boyfriend, Herb Gal--(is it the same one, the narcissist?)--then why would you spend so much time talking to a stranger? Are you not happy in your relationship? Even if that is the case, it's not the smartest thing to do---having such a long conversation with a total stranger. You could say that people chat all the time while on line. Yes, that's true, but hopefully most people will do that using a screen-name and will not reveal too much about themselves. This situation is different---you don't know this guy but he seems to know who you are. The fact that he called you and gave you a fake name and you were willing to engage in such a long conversation---is quite frankly---chilling.
