Re: Obama's Plan

We’ll be working out the details in the weeks ahead, but it will be a two-year, nationwide effort to jump-start job creation in America and lay the foundation for a strong and growing economy,” Mr. Obama said.

Would it be better for the economy if the government expanded or would it be better if the private sector hired people?

“We’ll put people back to work rebuilding our crumbling roads and bridges, modernizing schools that are failing our children,

How many crumbling roads and bridges do we have?  Why are our schools failing our children?  Didn't Ted Kennedy write the education bill?

and building wind farms and solar panels, fuel-efficient cars and the alternative energy technologies that can free us from our dependence on foreign oil and keep our economy competitive in the years ahead.”

If it is there then, I am all for it.   But I am not for the government building it.  They need to incentivize businesses to do this.

Do you realize how many products we use that are derived from petroleum?  Plastics, garbage bags and asphalt are among them.  You need petroleum to build crumbling roads.  They even put petroleum products in foods.  I know what to look for and I avoid those foods and trust me, there are a lot of foods with petroleum derived ingredients in them.

Am I criticizing Obama or am I trying to get some of you to see?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Tune in to Rush Limbaugh to hear the true story of Thanksgiving probably on Wednesday.
