I think it is important to bear in mind here that fasting is only a means to an end and not an end in itself.
If you desire to lose genuine excess weight thru fasting then that is fine, and where you will achieve that goal more healthfully via a water fast, but we should also bear in mind that lifestyle changes can achieve that same goal by adhering to Natural Hygiene principles such as: the proper combination of foods, adequate rest & sleep, sunshine, fresh air, exercise, and so on.
