My experience (I just posted above tonight) with meeting a Nature Being, was actually (Thank God) a very positive one, and the encounter lifted me from a Depression I was falling into from negativity in our household. For a few seconds ,I was able to see this Fairy Being looking up at me with compassion.

I think that many Nature spirits can fall under negative influences, just as humans do., and many of them are not too thrilled with humanity because of the negative way most of humanity treats animals, trees, etc.

I think that some of the Elementals and Nature Spirits are very beautiful because they have not allowed negativity to embitter them, but some of the others fell victim to resentments, bitterness against humans, and they end up wreaking havoc on people.. like that young man experienced .

I love that you directed love at these Elementals.. because though they were embittered, they are not demons.. and they do respond to genuine Love!
