I've taken it. I was perfectly fine. Noticed no difference in my health at all. I have no clue about lowering the dosage for less weight. It is supposed to reach every cell in the body including the brain and the more liquid areas. So it should work for anything. It's used to treat people with cancer so it even gets inside tumors.
