Re: --Varicose Veins & Busted Blood vessels--

This is incorrect. Weakening of blood vessels results from a loss of collagen and elastin. Collagen gives tissues their strength, and elastin gives tissues their elasticity. Loss of these proteins lead to a loss of strength, increasing the risk of breakage, and loss of elasticity leading to stretching of the tissues. Silica is the most common nutritional deficiency leading to this problem, followed by vitamin C.

Both of these proteins are made from amino acids (lysine, hydroxylysine, proline, hydroxyproline, and glycine) , ascorbic acid (vitamin C), silica, and sulfur. Copper and zinc are merely catalysts for the formation of these proteins.

"Beer bellies" are actually a result of the highly estrogenic properties of beer due to the hops used in its production.
