Whiteshark, from reading DoctorD's previous posts it sounds like he/she agrees, and that response you quoted was based off his initial post which does state small enough stones can exit the gallbladder... but stones that are too big for the duct, and the 'soap stones' shown in so many pictures, did not pass through the liver or gallbladder.
