Nettle Tea & Oat Straw beneficial properties.

I've been ordering bulk, organic tea from a mom & pop I really like. They have lots of herbs as well and say if there's something that's not listed on their website that you need to ask and they'll put it up.

is where I got it. I use a tbsp of each in my tea pot and let it steep for at least 10 minutes. I drink the 3 cups my teapot holds over the hour and feel a ton better. Oat straw is good for rebuilding your calcium balance (I'd say good for rewriting predispositions toward panic attacks too) and has the right ratio of cal/mag/d and nettle is high in iron. It's great for an allergy attack and obviously for building good blood and nerves.

I have the Waiora Zeolite and I like it. I haven't taken a lot of it lately as I'm laying off strong chelators but I've noticed if I feel I need a good magnet for collecting, if I take a few drops along with the Vitamin C + MSM - it works like a charm. Newport has a lot of good posts on Vitamin C + MSM being good for helping your body get rid of lead once its let loose.

HERE'S GOOD INFO ON OAT STRAW:
Oat Straw (Avena sativa), also known as groats, is popular as an alternative to standard Western allopathic medicine for a variety of problems, including panic attacks, fighting osteoporosis as well as calming hyperactive children.

It is rich in calcium and magnesium. It can be used for both physical and nervous fatigue and is helpful for depression. Oat straw also contains large volumes of Calcium but also significant quantities of B-complex vitamins, silicia, flavones, saponins, and Vitamin A.

Oat Straw has been found to be an excellent toner for the whole system. Oat Straw is useful for thyroid and oestrogen deficiency, for MS, osteoporosis, appetite loss, anorexia, urinary concerns, colds and chills and to encourage sweating. It's secondary uses are boils, weak bones, bursitis, constipation, gallbladder, kidney problems, liver disorders, pancreatic concerns, rheumatism, and some skin conditions.

Oat Straw may also be added to the bath to help relieve overall nervous body tensions and combines well with Lemon Balm for this purpose.

HERE'S SOME GOOD INFO ON NETTLE HERB:
Nettle is a perennial herb of the Uriticaceae family which generally grows in nitrate-rich soil. The root and leaves are used in herbal medicine. The leaf acts to decrease inflammation. It is quite useful for allergies, arthritis, and muscle/nerve pain (Sciatica). The root increases urine volume and flow which makes it helpful in cases of BPH (benign prostate hyperplasia). Though it will not reduce the enlargement of the prostate, it can relieve the accompanying symptoms of difficult urination.

This is a wonderful herb which is rich in things like Vitamin C, chlorophyll, carotenoids, bioflavonoids, silicon, boron, iron, calcium, and magnesium. It is used to nourish and strengthen the system. Now that Spring is soon to arrive, it is a perfect time to try this herb to combat those seasonal allergy symptoms. You can purchase Nettle tea in bags or dried Nettle leaf (preferably organic) at your local health food store. To make an infusion from the dried Nettle leaf, use 2 tablespoons in one quart of water and bring to a boil. Allow to steep in a container with a tight lid (up to 4 hours for maximum effect). If you brew the infusion, it will stay fresh for a couple of days. I sweeten my tea or infusion with stevia or honey.

Enjoy the benefits of this herb all year round!

Although Nettle has no known side effects, it is always best to check with your health practitioner if you have questions regarding possible contraindications. (Caution: do not harvest and use flowering Nettle for food or medicine).
