Sounds like the mother/family talks too much about unimportant things. The boy should not be worried about such a thing nor his father and the mother is the source of the only problems, because her mouth shouldn't have let you or anyone know and certainly is looking for nothing but trouble and family destruction. The husband and his children need to tell her to take a "Hike" or shut her mouth up.
