Magnesium Citrate is an alterntive to E. Salts which is Magnesium Sulfate. From what I gather, the magnesium dialates the biles ducts to aid in ridding the liver/gall bladder of stones. I used M. Citrate alternately with E. salts in case the E. salts work better at dialation. You can get M. Citrate at Walmart in the laxative section. It's not too bad--just a bit tart.
As for a step by step liver cleanse, I try to follow Dr. Clark's recommendations in timing and contents. You can find this protocol on the liver cleanse pages of www.curezone.com. Prior to finding this site, I hadn't heard of the e. salts, so did the cleanse without. I definitely get more with the e. salts/m. citrate. Besides, it makes sense that if the ducts are dialated there is less chance for a stone to get stuck.
A liver and Bowel Cleanse and parasite cleanse are recommended to get really effective flushing. I am just beginning those, but even without them was able to get rid of some stones and get pain relief.
