Re: I need advice about the benefits and weight loss of water fasting......my first time.
I totally agree. Starting out with a diet of raw foods will help your body enough to make the transition much easier to fasting. Possibly follow the raw foods with a juice fast. Try starting out with smaller fasts. I am working on a 10 day fast and it isn't easy, I don't think that it will be wise to attempt 40 right out of the gate.
I think instead of focusing on your weight loss focus on how you feel emotionally and physically as well as your attitude towards food and your body. Start out in small steps, it makes it much easier to stick with each goal and it is more encouraging.
I did get some headaches at first, but it wasn't worse than my migraines.I do notice that when I try to go off
Sugar I get headaches, that might be what is triggering them for you in your first day. Personally, I think that you may want to get your blood
Sugar and medical stats before you start an extended fast. I only say that because at some weights it really increases the likelihood that you can develop type 2 diabetes and it is a good idea to have a clear idea of where your physical health is.
