Thanks. I have been tested for blood clotting disorders and I actually have the opposite problem. I have von Willebrands disease which means I don't produce enough clotting factor, so I tend to bruise & bleed a lot more than normal. It's not severe, but it's something I have to be aware of. I almost had to have a hysterectomy after my first child was born because I was bleeding so severely they had a very difficult time getting it under control. I ended up needing multiple blood transfusions.

Ironically, this was part of the reason why the Mirena was so attractive to me - it helped slow my very heavy periods. But it's not worth it.
