Weight for weight sodium chlorite and chlorine dioxide are about as toxic as each other but even activated its likely to be as toxic, just more effective.
So by taking more sodium chlorite unactivated you are just increasing the toxicity
unnecessarily and you are still likely to get the effect on the digestive system
so there doesnt seem to be much point just to avoid the taste.
It can still be effective though. Myself I didn't mind the taste
and I think it would be better just to take less drops, more diluted, at a time and activated rather than not.
I did take a few drops unactivated sometimes when it wasnt convenient to activate it
