From what you described, I didn't see anywhere how you could be infected. To my knowledge, touching body fluids (i.e., sweat, blood, saliva, etc.) doesn't cause an infection. However, if you were exposed to "something" and you touched your eyes, nose, mouth, got a pinprick, sexual contact, or airborne that would allow for possible microbes to enter the body causing an infection, I could see how this would be a concern. I didn't see anything in your story where you could get infected -- you covered the area and later washed your hands.

Your neck pain that you are experiencing could be due to nervous tension, slept wrong, and/or a coincidental experience where you got a "neck cold", or maybe something else is going on that is unrelated to your finger experience.

I'm in agreement with Zoebess - please get tested. It will give you some peace of mind or a direction that you need to take.
