I started dealing with candida when I heard that it is a fungus that lives in your gut and makes you crave all the foods it lives on. The only way to get it under control is to stop eating what it wants - sugar, alcohol, dairy, and yeast products. The cravings for Sugar will calm down after you have gone awhile without any at all. In my case, if I decide it's ok to eat Sugar again then I end up eating it every day. I also took Diflucan every day for a couple of months before I felt like that had done the trick.
