As to Chrisb- I have had High BP on and off since forever, less now but still...
and whenever I go in for testing and i am asked to fast for the evening and morning befor the testing

One of my internist also a R&D doctor shook his head and said to me, over half the cases when they are fasting have perfect BP- meaning digestion is a job that requires much goings on in the system

I never did find the cause, nor he, but I think some astute researcher must know...and of course a water fast may just release the digestive system from it s work long enough to make some inroads into rest and relaxation f the digestive system
