Re: Being healed when the "time is right"?
i was in a hurry and didnt have time to adequately answer your post. now i have a little more time.
my statement was purposefully ambiguous in its context. we all know what is unique about jesus. he is the first fruits, the first born that opens the womb, the only BEGOTTEN son of god.
but he is not the father. he said "i and the father are one." that is all part and parcel of the example. christ is the example, the way. he put it in many different ways, but no more poignantly than in this verse:
Matthew 10:25
It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
how can anyone call another lord or master if they dont obey them to the fullest?
you see, modern christianity does not think jesus is special, they think THEY are special and that they dont have to go through what jesus did. they think he has done everything for us and that all we have to do is state our intention to be saved by him and thats it.
he is our saviour, all right. if we follow in his footsteps, we will be saved. anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar because thats exactly what the bible says. thats exactly what jesus says.
