Re: Zoe.....

That is a great site Tony, my being visual and all...lol.
I sent that link to a lot of people. It inspired me to go
out and buy more batteries~!

Hoping for the best. One thing about hurricanes, you
never complain if they are a bust or a no-show. Nature
can be very humbling.

Am all battened down. My neighbor came over and helped
move canoes and give his approval that I had done a good
job so my things did not end up in his yard.

Went to town for a last ditch hope of finding size D
batteries. No luck. The store was having a hurricane
ice cream sale on Bluebell. A hurricane is a good
excuse to indulge and since I also have others at the
house, this would be a hit.

Relaxing now and feeling so much better about the coming
wind. The downgrade continues and my neighbor was saying
the experts were not able to decide for sure but that we
might even be on the good side now. Now there is an answer
to a prayer~! Just thinking it might be so was really
comforting.

I would ask, however, that people do pray for the 20,000
or so people who chose NOT to evacuate Galveston. I hope
their gamble pays off. The officials were understandably
discouraged.

This time tomorrow, the worst should be passed and if you
hear from me, you know we are fine and power is on. If you
do not hear from me, you know we are eating ice cream~!

blessings & gratitude,
Zoe
