salicyclic acid mixed with vaseline

hi guys,
the derm recently ordered to apply SALICYCLIC ACID MIXED WITH VASELINE, the target is to peel the scaling and keratosis problem, because he thinks that the skin is normal except the keratin problem and he said that it is UNDEFINED CHELITIS and if the salicyclic acid 5% formula dosen't help, the next step will be to take tablets orally to fight the keratin but i am not sure which tablets. Did anybody try salicyclic acid on lips, if so, what was the result like? your feedback is appreciated,thanks.
