Re: embarrassing question...??
I think that whatever you are taking is making your liver and gallbladder function again. Since they were probably very slow and sluggish before your entire digestive system (mal)adjusted to that; sort of like - two wrongs were trying to make it right.
Now that things are getting back to normal, your digestion is improving and absorbtion of foods that you eat also, which makes for some hardy stools. Not a bad sign in my opinion, just make sure you also adjust to our newfound digestive freedom: drink more water, walk a little more during the day, and make sure you eat stuff that promotes clearing up all that debris that must be coming out these days. Foods that are essential for you at this point (provided you don't have any other health conditions): pears, grapes, grapefruits, and green salads with olive oil. No starches of any kind, and lots of water. If you can do a colon hydrotherapy somewhere or at least
colonics on your own at home, that would be great, and the best thing by far.
Make sure you start your day with a glass of water and some freshly squeezed lemon juice in it (make sure water is NOT cold! this to help the liver). Then eat a grapefruit or two. Then other fruits and leave it at that. On another day you may eat a bit of
Sugar free flakes or similar but only in almond milk. But never ever take citrus fruit or juice at the same time as any type of starch or milk or even for the same meal; it's actually best not to eat those even in the same day.
That should help not only with your bm, but also with clearing up the intestines, liver and gallbladder. Otherwise everything will get re-absorbed again, and it was all for nothing.
