Re: Hem-Relief Testimonial

#100731, This is first chance I’ve had to respond, though I read your post several days ago. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.

I have been religiously using the Hem-Relief since about mid-July. I purchased four bottles. I have been taking 3 capsules a day, 3 times a day with little to no relief. I have been in pretty intense pain at times that has kept me from sleeping and interrupted vacation, and then actually had to leave work yesterday morning because the pain (like a thousand needles) got too much for me. Sometimes the pain is so bad I become nauseated. I have spent many a night in the bathtub! However, I have also been using Prep-H products a lot (tubes at home and tubes at work), as well as occasionally Desitin (similar to A&D), and witch hazel (which I like). The pain is so bad I have to put something on.

I’ve been searching the internet for other home remedies, anything to give me relief from the pain.

One concern is that I take Prozac and Ambien and there is a warning about taking Hem-Relief and those “types” of medications. I have not experienced any problems I am aware of, but intend to talk to my doctor at my Aug 29 appt.

I think what I’ll do now, based on your comments, is discontinue using any Prep-H stuff and increase to 4 capsules 3 times a day. I’ll continue using the Witch Hazel and Desitin (tho may look for A&D). I’m going to start charting my progress so I can discuss with my doctor on the 29th.

This hem-problem first reared (excuse the pun) its ugly head on New Year’s Day….then gone, nothing, then about a month after that I started having problems more frequently. In June is when it began becoming debilitating and interfering with everything. I'm also doing things like taking Fibercon and stool softners just incase that was the problem. I'm glad I have my regular appt with the doc soon to talk to about this. Want to be sure all I am dealing with are hems and not something else.

I’ve also been hearing about saturated solution potassium Iodide ( SSKI ) for hems. Intend to talk to my doc about that.

Thank you again for your comments. Dorchester
