My experience was similar to yours when i had the implant fitted which is also a progesterone based contraceptive n i had the same symptoms as you i bled constantly, was in pain n was so aggressive my partner told me to 'get it out my arm' or he would remove it himself i was that vile. I had it in for five months n nothing could sort me out the only advice i got from the family planning clinic when i went back with my problems was to take the pill aswell which would sort out the bleeding which in my eyes completely defeats the object of having the implant or in your case the coil.

I had it taken out there n then i got the feeling they weren't very happy but i couldn't stand the symtoms.

Fair play to you for suffering with it this long but three months seems a fair trial n if its impacting on your life that much maybe choose another option?

I've come off the pill myself this week and i'm contemplating the IUD but i'm really not sure as i haven't had any children n from your experience of insertion i'm really having second thoughts!!

Why must contraception be so difficult??
