Re: Hi Everyone

Hi plasticat,
I'm right where you are mentally, I think. I went to the best psychologist in the NYC area and surprisingly was he said he had a pimple the day of a wedding and went tothe wedding anyway and no one noticed blah blah blah...". I knew the point he was making. He was trying to tell me that I have dysmorphia. I was polite and basically said when I was on large amounts of anti-biotics, clear skin I was very social and even now on the semi-good days I go out. I do isolate myself but the problem is real. It's not some grand scheme to avoid people --I'm just not that way. When my skin is good I'm out in the sunshine loving life. It's kind of like telling a blind person "oh, I got soap in my eye once but I drudged forward anyway". Help me CURE MY SKIN and I'll be good; just like I was before my thirties. So last week I get a new diagnosis from the derm who I like cause he seems up to date on the latest stuff. Facial Seborrheic Dermatitis --it was Acne rosacea & foliculitis before.

I've spent many thousands over the last 7-8 years. One side says there is no cure on the other they say eat green vegetables and it will cure everything. Done ayurvedic, done natural MD, done traditional derms, done very good diet where I lost a ton of weight on blueberry smoothies but WTF? I'm down to two more ideas trying 100% raw & seeing a really Chinese doctor in Chinatown.

I think medicine is like the show THE FIRST 48 now. On that show they just look for DNA evidence most of the time. That's not police work. What about talking to witness, collecting other clues, using open minded logic? Doctors of all kinds are the same way now. They only know what's in their book. How about looking at a skin sample under a microscope or testing my blood for shit. WTF?
