There are many types of toxins
Mostly on this forum we speak of physical symptoms: headaches, lethargy, skin blemishes, nausea, etc. What isn't so much spoken of are the other kinds: spiritual, mental and emotional. We are all spiritual beings linked to the physical, so these things often go hand-in-hand.
When I started iodine, I didn't have too much by way of physical symptoms. There were two separate days of headaches (one was fixed by salt loading, the other I just had to deal with). But, the most intense detox that carried on longer was some unresolved and forgotten memories of past events that suddenly bubbled to the surface, bringing the suppressed emotions companion to them. What I found was I had to properly work through them, and then they can go. It was surprising at the time, but in retrospect it was clear that the mistakes we make (often referred to as sins, either what we do or is inflicted upon us) get lodged in our soul much the same way fluoride gets stuck in tissue. One way or another, it needs to be expelled to feel whole.
So if you feel anger well up, find a punching bag or something to take it out on. If you need to cry, then cry. If you need to talk to someone, find that someone, and if it's really involved, get professional help. Work through it. We often talk about substances that pull out heavy metals from tissue without getting them out of the body, so they settle in a new spot inside us and the problem remains. Spiritual and emotional toxins behave similarly. Until we work them out, they stay inside and we hold onto pain like an abcess. Suppressing them only prolongs the problem and it doesn't get resolved.
And the funny thing is, detoxing our body can lift our spirits. Likewise, when our mental/emotional/spiritual toxins are removed, it can bring light back into our bodies, we lose the hunch in our backs, gain and extra step, and take a few years off.
Figure out a constructive way to expel what needs to be expelled. It's all part of being a whole and healthy you.
