Re: Being a Veg

Hi Secret Agent Man. I'll call you SAM. I have a regular blender. Keep it simple. A recipe would be green beans for example. I pour a little water into the blender - none tap water, throw an palm full of green beens (anything you like i.e. brocolli sans stems, spinach, califlower etc) and blend. Once that is blended, add you fruit. Any fruit. I combine a couple of fruits like a banana and peaches for example. That masks the veggie taste. All you taste is the sweetness of the fruit. There is your smoothie packed full of fruits and veggies. I use frozen fruit as that is the better buy but fresh is obviously great too. Let them thaw naturally (no microwaving) only takes 20 minutes or so. The color of green veggies mixed with blueberries turns a beautiful purple color. If you want it cold, before you mix the veggies, throw in a couple of ice cubes with the water and let that pulse a bit to your satisfaction then throw in the veggies, pulse and mix them with the fruit. Add a little water as needed. Enjoy. Life is made to be simple. Keep it simple the way it should be. No need for any fancy blenders....Let me know how this works for you SAM!
