Yes, I was just coming back here to make an edit when I saw the reply post you left.

I have also made my copy to send into my local sheriff's department chief, after which I felt to be sure set the tone correctly by saying in an attached note. Something to the effect: ...that I am glad that the ______ County Sheriff's department is there doing the job they are doing and just want to thank you all very much for helping to protect the rights of us citizen's in the local area where we all live.
