I can't see why they can't remove it for you right then and there. They have to look up there anyways to check it and it takes literally 2 seconds to remove. I think my pap smears take longer then it did to remove it. If I were you, I would insist they remove it! Tell them your having pelvic pain, or painful during sex, then they will remove it. I wouldn't even bother telling them your having other symptoms, because it seems they like to say it's not from Mirena, blah blah blah, and almost try and convince you into keeping it in! Stick to your guns, and good luck!
