are you closer to taking hikes and wild harvesting some of your foods yet? :)

searches for any mineral and plant uptake should net you some local varieties for just about anything... It is interesting that most environments are home to foods that treat degenerative diseases... perhaps we are so messed up now that we respond rather quickly to wild local foods even if they have been compromised by an unclean environment.

The desert has many plants that treat many ails... certain species of plants concentrate some minerals more than others.

The back of Walter's book (Olree) is a good source for info on that.
