Re: Doing multiple "cures", using lots of energy when fasting.

I notice that Purinton is in favour of assisting the body with elimination *during the first three (the hard transitional) days*. It seems to me that that might be a very good idea, (though I don't see introducing anything like psyllium and bentonite, at any time--that's a whole other cleanse, not a fast at all.)

Having experienced the master cleanse, i get the feeling the Water Fast might in some ways be easier. Certainly it's entirely different, and has been shown to be a great way to get back to better health; and a cleaner slate.

Even though the pure Master-Cleanse is all liquid, it's still food, and the body uses the drink to get its housecleaning done, so there's a level of cleansing the Master-Cleanse never gets to.
It's a good experience though, especially for people who are nervous of going without solid food. Just for contrast, Purinton calls the short Water Fast of three to seven days "good for timid souls". But it would be good to remember the fast he is talking about he calls a "conquest fast". He's looking at it on lots of levels, including the purely physiological. His philosophy is really making a lot of sense to me.

A Water Fast is a water fast. If you add in other stuff, well, that may all be fine, but you've stopped the highly-complex it seems process of autolyzation. But this is just what i read and though it makes sense, i've yet to prove it to myself.

one thing i keep wondering about: autolyzing can only be as comfortable as what's being autolyzed. It makes me wonder how someone makes it through the water fast when they are really sick, or just quite toxic. If the body's going to burn a lot of old crap, literally, surely that would make a person feel pretty crappy? That makes me wonder if a few days of the (pure)MC ( with the SWF) might be a good way to begin the water fast.

or would it just double the uncomfortable three day period of getting "past"
food?

any thoughts on that?

edit: sory: Autolysis. I got the word wrong
