Re: Need Advice / Opinions! Embarking on Candida Treatment...

I have been doing some research with Materia Medica on yeast for a health supplement company, and there is correlation between craving smoked meats and possible candida infection (which might explain your smoke smell aura). Also tooth sensitivity is indicated as well, which you also seem to have. Homeopathy suggests several different remedies that treat those symptoms--so you're not crazy! Migrane headaches are also a symptom

I would suggest a low acid diet to help, and yogurt does help but using acidophilus supplement over and obove would work better. You're trying to balance your intestinal flora. If you have blood Sugar issues, the diabetes can cause high Sugar levels in urine (that yeast feed on), so getting your body to an alkalyne state would be beneficial. Beans are on the high-acid list, unfortunately. A good resource for acid/alkalyne foods is:

If you prefer vegetarian diet, then avoid starches that turn to Sugar (pasta, grains, breads), but you can use whey protein (milk derivative with no lactose) as a good source of high bioavailable protein. Great for diabetics, bodybuilders use it to build and maintain muscle mass without gaining fat.

Anyway, hope this helps. Also, make sure your partner (if you have one) is not positive for yeast--you can get it transmitted back and forth that way.
