Thanks everyone for all the great advice. The human body is so complicated that just about any of those ideas could be correct. I guess the best thing to do is just print all this info out and hand it to her to look over and let her see what makes sense.

Her belly is getting really big, so I thought the baby was simply pushing on her stomach making the acid come up. I told her to practice deep breathing exercises and work on keeping good posture.
