Re: If it's any help...
Dear Gilda and Misscast,
Thanks for the replies...
I bought rice pasta, and the guy that works at the healthfood store said be careful to follow the exact directions on the box or else it will be a mush-fest.
I tried gluten free waffles, hated them.-I put natural peanutbutter on it, still yuck.
I ate brown rice based bread, it was ok, not bad and not good. I just hated the crust on it but the rest of it is good texture wise.
I have gluten free animal crackers, they're not my fave but if I put them in the lactose free Lactaid they're good. I only have that Lactaid in my low acid coffee in the morning, and I make it weak so the yeast can't party on the caffeine.
I have gluten free oats cereal and I make it with water. I add barely any lactaid, Stevia, and cinnamin. Yummy.
I am going to the store to buy more veggies, not any with moderate-high glycemic indexes. No carrots or tomatoes, and I hate beets so wohoooo! I know about potatoes, yams, sweet tatoes, etc...
I've been steaming broccoli and green beans.
I am assuming I should stay away from red, orange, or yellow belle peppers b/c they're sweet... right?
*Does anyone know if zucchini is allowed?
*If I scramble eggs is it ok to put just one yolk? I understand from experience they can be hard to digest an d may cause upset stomach or heartburn cause they're rich.
*Soy products are ok right? As well as soy flour I believe but I am just checking...
What do people have for snacks??? I am hungry!
Genisoy makes soy crisps, they look like small rice cakes but they are made with soy flour! I like the
Sea Salt ones.
*Or...Does anyone know of any types or brands of protein or energy bars that are gluten free?
I realized Luna Bars, the cranberry nut ones are! I like those, taste like a lightly sweetened dense rice crispy treat...
I know the cranberry bits are not so good for me but....there aren't many in there and this bar has Far less
Sugar then other bars I've read about.
Thanks guys for your support!
