Hemangiomas & Oral Contraceptives

Over the last couple of months I have had an ultrasound, CT with contrast, and an MRI with contrast. My doctor has told me that I have hemangiomas on the right side of my liver, the largest of which is approximately 2.5cm. According to her I don't need to worry and should just get a follow up scan in a year. What may concern me a little though is that also today my doctor started me on oral contraceptives (Aviane), which I had planned on for a while, but we held off until I got the results back from my MRI scan. From what I have been reading online though I get the impression that taking oral contraceptives can increase the growth of hemangiomas. So my questions are:

1) Does taking an oral contraceptive like Alesse increase the growth of hemangiomas? Is it ok to start on an oral contraceptive knowing that I have hemangiomas?
2) Do hemangiomas decrease in size by themselves? Or do they increase?
3) Can hemangiomas lead to liver cancer?

Thanks,
A (age 32)
