I think  he has been having a gallbladder problem your symptoms sound familiar. I had a pain in the right  shoulder too (gb meridian) So the pain is not necessarily in the gallbladder  area.go to the gallbladder, gallstone forums and read the Liver Flush, Liver Cleanse & Gallbladder Flush information Go for it and good luck.
