Re: How many zeros in a billion?

Good post Tomi.

It is good to know that there are still some people in the world aware of what the elements really are that are involved when the topic involves Americans. Too many have been programmed to think only in terms of what the media apparatus has to say about events surrounding and emanating from a very specific locale of modern geography. It would be an interesting test to ask people around the world what the first thoughts are that come to mind when they are asked "what is an American?". My hunch is that for the average person, no matter where in the world they live, by necessity their mind would instantly form the image - not of the actual features of a person, but of the image of specific geography that has a familiar flag waving in the foreground amid a background of a rolling, roiling series of other images, of $$ signs, of big, black stinky clouds of smoke, flame, sparks, cries of pain dripping red with blood.... and the image would pretty much stop here short of actually putting a face to it.... okay, the average person around the world might also imagine all of the foregoing that is somewhat mysteriously attached to a featureless face and body of white skin... or at least so-called white..... maybe off-white is more appropriate.

Broadly, Americans have become defined the past two centuries as embodying the image of people occupying a specific hunk of conquered land bounded by the Atlantic to the right and Pacific to the left. Americans have allowed themselves to be defined for the rest of the world as being made up of a specific albeit faceless geography coupled to the series of historical events attached to this specific geography. The specific geography element is certainly accurate in it's own right. The definition does not end there; it merely begins, and it has an ugly face with ample, clearly identifiable albeit multitudinous features of distinguishable note.

Geography is only one ingredient - a significant ingredient at that, but nonetheless only a single ingredient among the essential good handful of other main ingredients that has gone into the making of the body of the average, text-book American. These other ingredients become a lot more meaningful especially whenever a globalist is given forum to speak to the world to tell them about how awful Americans are. They are prone to seeking microphones, camera and print to tell the world about how despicable Americans are, such as how unruly the American banking system is and its massively harmful influence worldwide. They love to tell the world about how unruly and aggressive Americans are, and how they are accomplished at harming the planet. They especially love getting the blood boiling of the peoples around the world when telling them over and over just how ugly the ugly American is.... and, predictably, they always stop short, quite skilled at not telling the whole story to the whole world. Globalists, many of whom are themselves made up of similar mutt pedigree, have over the long centuries been diligently expending their enterprising & exploitive labors carving out wonderfully successful headquarters for themselves RIGHT HERE, somewhere, on this all too familiar hunk of geography bounded by the Atlantic on the right and Pacific on the left.....ooops, a convenient omission..... "an inconvenient truth", nod nod, wink wink.

It is not in the interests of said globalists to talk about how, for two hundred years and running, the recipe for properly cooking up a batch of "Americans" requires, without fail: two parts of the aforementioned well-known geography; one or more parts each of Italian, Spanish / Portuguese "Iberian", Mexican, British "English", German, French, Dutch, Irish and Scotch; at least two parts that is itself made up of a full blend of parts taken from greater Europe to include "Russia", Arabia "middle east", Asia and Africa. As a garnish, one may optionally sprinkle in bits of Native American with a sprig of Polynesia. Omit anyone of these constituent parts and one may think they have cooked a properly functioning batch, but they haven't. That is only a prevailing misnomer.
