ClO2 is now widely used instead of chlorine to super-chlorinate pools, spas, hot tubs etc, Anthrax approval, Avian Bird Flu Approval etc etc.
Clo2 extends the shelf-life of products dipped or sprayed with/in it by knocking the SPC count down, in other words stopping the enzymatic activity from happening. NaClO2 has just been approved by the FDA as a treatment for genital herpes etc, etc,.
