I recently posted a question asking about Vaginal contraceptive film and foam and the sponge as non hormonal contraceptives and googled them and such and most feedback I got said that they are all really unreliable and are less than 50% effective for women who have a lready had children. The paraguard and the diaphram are the most reliable forms of non-hormonal BC, I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from women who have used the diaphram. You can insert it and use it multiple times a day for spontaneous play. You do need to have it fitted, but you may be able to have the Mirena removed and be fitted at one appointment. Check into it. For weightloss, I know a few women who have had good luck with weight watchers. They bring their kids to the weigh in and meetings. They found it was easier to lose with support and accountability. And it gives them somenone other than their partners to talk about their weight gain with and feel less judged.
