rapid weight gain after mirena insertion

I just joined this blog. I looked up on the internet some side effects of mirena because I have had rapid weight gain and Acne problems when I have usually very clear skin. I also have an decreased libido. This is my dilema...I am a mother of two and don't see anymore children in my future, but not totally out of the question. I am currently in nursing school and is in no situation to have another baby. I thought this would be a good fix. I was on Nuva ring which was great but i had no libido and hypertension. I am working on losing weight and feel it's an up hill battle when the IUC is what is making me gain the weight but I can't afford to not take b-control. Pills make me nauseated severly and the nuva ring caused me to have the other symptoms I described. Any advice? Tweet
