Re: Keep being sick, pounding rapid heart beat/palpatations
Scarface--I know I'm coming in on this thread late, but, basically I think you can narrow your heart pounding issues down to on of these three things:
Anxiety
Food and Substance Allergy
or
An actual heart problem.
The most serious of these of course is the actual heart problem. Have you seen an cardiologist? I would make that priority No. 1 if you have not. If you have and your heart checked out OK it would never hurt to get a second opinion. As most of us know, not all doctors are good doctors. You need a doctor who will treat you with respect and check your heart out thoroughly.
Food and Substance Allergy. Keep a diary of everything you eat, drink or inhale (as in cigarettes/MJ). Write down everything that goes into your mouth and how you feel after you eat it, drink it, smoke it. You may want to, for awhile at least, eat single food meals so that you will be able to tell how you feel afterward. If you make your meals too complex with too many foods, you will have a hard time figuring out if there is an offending food item that is making your heart beat like crazy. Definitely, if you are not already doing this--STAY AWAY from:
Caffeine, which speeds up the heart rate. Many people too are allergic to caffeine, which doubles this effect; and then there are those that are not only allergic to caffeine, which is in the coffee, but the coffee itself as well, so they are getting a double allergenic effect upon ingesting coffee. Besides, this it is not good for a person who has candida and/or leaky gut as caffeine thins out the lining of the intestinal tract.
Cigarettes--IF you are smoking cigarettes, this could definitely be the heart palp problem, b/c there are sooooo many chems in cigarettes that a person could be sensitive too, not to mention the nicotine, which will speed up your heart rate (and again speed it up double if you are allergic to the nicotine).
MJ--MJ should definitely NOT be something you are doing because the smoke from MJ is waaaaay too hard on your lungs and heart--PLUS you could very well be allergic to it. Either way smoking MJ is just asking for heart palpitations and trouble. Don't bring that on yourself.
Anxiety: Does your racing heart come on after negative thoughts? Here too it may be a good idea to keep a diary of your negative thoughts and your body's reaction to the same. Anxiety certainly can give rise to rapid heart rate. If you find out that it is anxiety-related it's time to do something about the "stinkin' thinkin'," you know what I mean? Time to get a workbook on
Depression and anxiety. I can help with recommendations if you need them--just let me know.
