Re: Why such limited success?
Babe, this is an emotional issue for most of us....so of course the response is charged with emotion!
Where I sit I have a husband that is ANTI this 'garbage' as he describes it, a
father-in-law that is in laughter at the sheer 'silliness' of this stuff and well, I come here to get SUPPORT, not a kick up the butt...because I can get that here! I can't share any of my emotions or insecurities or fears with my family due to their attitudes toward the cleanse to begin with. So yeh, it was a very depressed and unstable post, but have you NEVER been there yourself?
I do see what you're saying and I've read your sticky about weight too. I've also read and re-read SB's book and he clearly states that it can be used as a reducing diet and goes on to detail just how to reduce on the diet. He also claims that most people will lose approximately 1lb a day. He claims that one of the uses of the cleanse is for people who are wanting to lose weight! He does not go into deviations of this so this is where this support forum, and others, come in. We discuss our 'success' or lack thereof. We cheer each other on when we're down, we pick ourselves up, dust off and move forward. You have a way of sounding like you know all the answers and that everyone else asking about weight related issues is a no-hoper who obviously doesn't have the first clue about attaining good health! Yes, assumptions but you have made some pretty big ones yourself...and I'm not the first person to say this!
Look, I very much appreciate your presence here, your knowledge of the cleanse and it's various quirks. You touched a very sensitive issue for me. Your response is more like that of a personal trainer! I do appreciate that you are only trying to help. This entire sphere of the cleanse is an emotional one. Our health, our weight, our everyday wellbeing.
I think if you'd like to contribute what you recommend as what you did, and how it worked for you, that would be fine. Tell us what you eat, how much, etc. How big are you? How tall?
