I believe you have survived chlorine dioxide poisoning, brought about by ingesting too high a concentration of chlorine dioxide.

Chlorine dioxide breaks down to chlorite quickly, and the chlorite is what needs to be eliminated from your body. In rats, it was observed that the half life of chlorite was around 40 hours. If our metabolism is similar, it will take around 10 days to get most of the chlorite out of your system.

Most of the elimination is through the urine.

The last time I was involved in an incident like this was several years ago, and it involved chlorine rather than chlorine dioxide. At that time, the medical advice was to treat symptoms as they surfaced, and to flush your system out by drinking lots and lots of water.

It would be a good idea to check with your doctor to see if there have been any changes in treatment. A blood test should be able to determine if there has been any damage to your red blood cells.

According to Jim Humble, the diluted Miracle-Mineral-Supplement solution should have around 1 PPM of free ClO2 in it. A 1 PPM solution is basically clear and has very little taste and odor to it. If your solution has a yellow color and tastes bad, it is most likely at a concentration higher than 1 PPM of free ClO2.

To test for the concentration of free ClO2, you can order test strips. I believe there are two ranges available, 0 - 500 PPM and 0 - 10 PPM. I get my strips from
