Honestly the l-ornithine was such a life saver for me for anxiety and finally sleeping (after 4 years!). It's worth a try. I haven't felt like I needed it for the last 10 days! I took the arginine in the a.m. although I was so tired I couldn't tell if it had any perking effect. After 12 noon I'd take the ornithine. I was already so tired I don't know if it would make others too relaxed. I was just glad if I would konk out and relax whenever. had to take it early around 7 pm for going to bed around 10. I didn't always fall asleep easily but whenever I did I would sleep through the night. The first day I took it I was so sleep deprived I just passed out around 4 pm so if you are working then you have to finesse it.
