Re: Ketosis and Potassium Loss

Thanks crisb1,

This is definitely a difficult one to figure out. I think it may be a genetic problem. I had bouts of this as young as 7 years old and my sister's 8 year old daughter gets leg pains at night time. I think my mom's aunt also had it. I just can't figure out why fasting causes the pain to be so extreme on day 2.

I guess I will have to sort out my health and then consider a fast when I am healthy. I was hoping to do it the other way around - to fast so that I can get healthy, not get healthy so I can fast.

I feel so sad to be faced with this stumbling block. I guess I'll get more tests from the doctor. The doctors never figure out what is wrong with me and say I have chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia which are both just a last resort diagnosis.

Thanks again for your help and good luck to everyone with their fasts!!! (*sob*)
