My heart almost stopped beating before my child turned 1 and she weaned herself at 14 months. I felt like I lost something, she weaned too early - I even mourned that loss - it was awful - I cried for days. In retrospect I know NOW that I was highly deficient in iodine. Many of my problems started at that time...or started up again...since I was then off of the prenatal vitamins which are higher in iodine and many other nutrients.

Oh Lord I wish I knew then what I know now, but as my now 11 year old says,

"Mom, everything happens for a reason."
